Streamlining Inventory Management for Amazon Sellers | Concept Redesign
Overview
This project focuses on redesigning the inventory management experience within Amazon Seller Central. I targeted key pain points in bulk editing, product visibility, and status clarity for third-party sellers managing large catalogs.
The Challenge
Sellers struggle to make changes quickly due to overwhelming tables, unclear product status, and inefficient bulk actions. I restructured the experience to support clarity and control.
Solution
Showcased how a reimagined inventory system could reduce task time for sellers managing 50+ SKUs
Created a scalable interface that aligns with modern data-heavy B2B dashboards
Received strong validation from sellers in my network
My Approach
Analyzed inventory workflows from Amazon and competitors
Designed simplified table UI with inline editing
Created flows for common pain points: status updates, quantity edits, pricing
Designed modals and filters for power users
Key Design Decisions
Column flexibility: Introduced drag-and-drop and hide/show functionality for table columns.
Clear status indicators: Used color, iconography, and tags to show inventory health at a glance.
Bulk edit flow: Designed a consistent side panel for multi-item edits without disorienting page reloads.
Results & What's Next
Simplified bulk editing and clearer inventory states improve seller task efficiency, especially for large catalogs.
Concept was positively received by sellers frustrated with the current table complexity.
Future improvements could include predictive alerts for low inventory, better mobile optimization, and inline editing at scale.
